Featuring the Court Martial of the
Captain of HMS Gaspee
LIEUTENANT WILLIAM DUDINGSTON, RN
Highlight of the evening will be a reenactment of this court martial. Dudingston commanded HMS Gaspee, captured and burned by Rhode Island Patriots in 1772. The court martial will decide Dudingston’s degree of guilt in the loss of his ship and recommend appropriate punishment.
Dinner attendees will help decide his fate!
